Homemade Mango Ice Cream
We are human. We love ice cream. Fortunately, there’s ice cream almost everywhere. But sometimes, we are just too tired to get out of the house to buy a cone. Also sometimes, a cone isn’t enough. So, we will be sharing an extremely easy recipe of homemade ice cream with the Philippines’ national fruit, mango!
What You Need
- 2 large mangoes
- 400 grams condensed milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- yellow food coloring (optional)
What To Do
- Slice mangoes and scoop as much of the flesh out as possible. Blend the mangoes in a blender until blended well.
- In a bowl, combine the mango pulp, condensed milk, and heavy cream. Beat mixture with a hand mixer at low speed until it starts to thicken. Increase the speed to medium and continue beating for 8-10 minutes until stiff peaks form. You can add a few drops of yellow food coloring while beating until desired color is achieved.
- Transfer in a loaf pan and cover with plastic wrap. Press the wrap gently on the surface to prevent ice crystals from forming. Freeze for 6 hours or longer. Serve frozen.
