Everybody loves food and children are being taught in school about its importance for our health. Despite this, at home, it is a good initiative for parents to include their children when preparing their meals.
This way, kids can understand its significance in our daily lives and they can grow a habit of knowing how to prepare a healthy and well-balanced meal. There are a lot of easy healthy recipes that are easy to make with kids:
1. Vegetable Soup
This dish is packed with healthy ingredients and is very easy to make. It is very flavorful and can be a versatile dish as the main vegetable ingredients can be changed according to preference.
It is fairly easy to make as well. It only requires basic ingredients that can already be found in a typical kitchen pantry such as salt, oil, and other herbs and spices. The first step is to saute the condiments and spices such as onion, garlic, ginger, celery, and carrots. Then add broth and incorporate the vegetables of your choice. Your kid can have fun preparing the ingredients and mixing them all up in the soup broth.

2. No Bake Oatmeal Bars
These are perfectly healthy snacks for your children and are very fun to make for them as well. The ingredients are composed of natural ingredients such as nuts, oats, and seeds. It is then mixed with a smooth melted sauce of honey, vanilla, and peanut butter. These are usually sweet ingredients that tie great with the oatmeal and nuts. Once the mixture is done, it is transferred in a dish with parchment paper where it will be flattened to your desired thickness so it can be sliced into bars after it has been refrigerated for at least an hour. This dish can be a little more interactive as the kids roll out the snack and cut it into bars after it has been refrigerated.
3. Bacon and Eggs Cups
This is a good and quick breakfast dish for you and your children. It requires only a few ingredients namely; bacon, eggs, salt, pepper, chives, and shredded cheddar cheese. This dish also requires a muffin dish to be made. Simply preheat an over to 400°F (200°C). Prepare the meal by firstly, wrapping the bacon around the muffin tin in a circle and baking it for around 10 minutes.
Tip: You can use a toothpick to hold the bacon together
Once done, place the bacon on the inside of the muffin tin this time and crack the egg inside as well. Sprinkle each tin with salt, pepper and cheddar cheese to taste. Bake until the egg has fully cooked.
